Our commitment

Jansen Quality Garment Co. is committed to making this website accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to information about the products you buy — who made them, how they were made, and the values behind them — should never be blocked by a barrier on our website.

We are a small, independent brand and we take this commitment seriously as an ongoing practice.

The standard we aim for

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the technical standard referenced by courts and the U.S. Department of Justice in applying the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III to commercial websites.

What we have put in place

Our website is built on the Shopify platform using the Prestige theme. Shopify's platform provides an accessible checkout foundation. We have additionally taken the following steps throughout our store:

• All product images and video include descriptive alternative text conveying the same information a sighted user would receive
• All form fields — including contact forms, email sign-up, and checkout fields — have clearly associated, visible labels
• We do not rely on color alone to convey information (such as sale pricing or availability)
• Our site is designed to be navigable by keyboard without requiring a mouse
• Page titles are descriptive and unique across the site
• Heading levels are structured hierarchically (H1 → H2 → H3) to support screen reader navigation
• Links are written to be descriptive in context, not generic phrases like "click here"
• Text can be resized up to 200% in browser settings without loss of content

Known limitations

We are a small team and our website is a work in progress. Some areas we are still actively working on:

• Some third-party apps and embedded tools (such as payment processors) are controlled by their vendors, not by us. We select partners with accessibility in mind and will transition away from vendors who do not meet acceptable standards.
• Older video content may not yet have audio descriptions for visually conveyed information. New video is produced with this in mind.
• We conduct ongoing reviews but have not yet commissioned a full third-party WCAG audit. We intend to do so as our business grows.

We do not use accessibility overlay widgets as a substitute for real improvements. Overlays do not reliably work with screen readers and do not constitute legal compliance.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some content may not yet fully meet the standard, as described above. We are actively working toward full conformance and update this statement as we make progress.
