Sustainability

Jansen Quality Garment Co. was built on the belief that how a garment is made matters as much as the garment itself.

Our mulesing-free and non-superwashed merino wool is supplied by Shaniko Wool Company, the first U.S. farm group to achieve the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certification, with full supply chain traceability, third-party audited land and animal welfare practices and an additional Nativa™ Regen certification recognizing regenerative farming methods that actively support healthy ecosystems and biodiversity. Every material we select is chosen with the full weight of its origin in mind.

Our organic cotton is sourced from the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative — a USDA-NOP and GOTS certified cooperative of family farms in West Texas, where every bale of cotton is traceable to a named producer.

Our garments are carefully cut and sewn at Hocking Hills Garment Center just outside of Athens, Ohio. Operating out of a renovated historic church, the Garment Center prioritizes employment for survivors of domestic violence and individuals in need of workforce development, paying living wages and partnering with local nonprofits to create lasting economic opportunity in the region. They share in our mission to create a better garment industry.

Our packaging reflects the same standards. Shipping boxes are made from 100% recycled content with 95% post-consumer waste diverted from landfills, FSC certified and plastic-free. Our garment bags are made from FSC certified glassine paper — plastic-free, recyclable, and produced domestically.

From the farm to your door, we have carefully considered each step of our supply chain, ensuring that our product is made to the highest standards of quality, craft and welfare.
